All this unawareness Runs me through the ground I can’t understand this Drown it out with sound Going through the motions I see what’s coming down All of this around me It’s being thrown around Going through the motions Don’t like this around me I guess I’ll walk around you I’ll avoid what I can’t see It’s inside my skin There’s no way to find it Became too real Do it all until you die from it All this unawareness Runs me through the ground I can’t understand this Drown it out with sound Testing all my patience With a whirlwind mind I’m going through some changes There’s something I need to find All this unawareness Runs me through the ground I can’t understand this Drown it out with sound

Pose 03:50
Who are you posing for When you’re lying there on the floor? Do you know who’s going to see And start begging for more? You pose but it’s not you You need a witness in the end You pose but it’s not you Alternate reality is not a friend Pose for me show me that side that you don't show for me Now it’s everywhere Let’s see who even cares Who am I to judge I guess I like it too much Can’t you see me in any light We get in a fight to get it right I’ve got time to burn With nothing there to learn Pose for me
3.
Earthly delights surround you But you’re getting hungry for more The fruit looks ripe for tasting You don’t know what’s in store Tasting the forbidden fruit Pick a fruit and pass it down It looks shiny and new Eden’s far away from here Your eyes give me the cue Juices escape the surface They’re running down everywhere But you can’t find the time to clean it up And no one seems to care Eating the forbidden fruit You know you should only have one But your eyes play tricks on you When someone else comes along You know just what to do Throw away forbidden fruit (Throw it away, throw it away)
4.
Data Pain 03:32
Getting all my readings Writing them down Fingers always moving Brain can’t wrap around This cloud of doubt is holding me I need some rain to help me see This data pain is coming on You once made me feel like I’m strong But all at once I fall to my knees What felt right is now so wrong Pain Analyzing all my feelings They’re getting me down My eyes are always moving Heart is beating loud Pain You don’t have to prove your pain Don’t let it get you down Share everything that you want
5.
Fake Awake 03:01
Are we really awake Or do we just react To everyone else’s lives Just a matter of fact We’ll fake ’til we’re awake End up on your own Making all your worth Become the lesser known Now you start to shake When you stop and think Do you fake it, until you make it Makes my stomach sick Once you start to hold on to all your thoughts something fake comes along denying what you’ve got A little bit of thought goes a long way To fight for a brighter day Whenever the sun rises It’s another chance for compromises Fake til you’re awake You’ll end up on your own Make all your worth Be the lesser known
6.
Trapped under digital feel Fingers slide up and down Love takes all your concentration No one else is around You’ve got love under glass Everyone needs your attention It’s a drug you can control If you could only see The addiction changes the role Private windows are all you see Glance at the perfect match Emotions rise to meet their demise When the love’s hopes are dashed Grasp your future in your hands Search for it within Find yourself the perfect partner And then you plug it in Love Under Glass
7.
Can I explain my experience When I’m out of control? I blamed it all on my body Stealing it away from my soul Look at who’s around you You crack a smile There’s a feeling in the air This could go on for a while This body’s creeping up on me All around me It’s all I can see I need to take this lying down Get me away from the crowd Tension pulses through my synapses There’s more giving in It’s all a dream come true What’s there left to do This body’s creeping up on me All around me it’s all I can see I need to take control There’s gotta be somethin to fill this hole This body’s creeping up on me All around me It’s all I can see I need to take this lying down Get me away from the crowd

Empty Field 04:06
This is an instrumental track
9.
Oblivion 03:00
Is this the rebirth or a decay of everything is this my dream or someone else’s? Maybe I’ll never know It’s just oblivion in the eyes of everyone I know Is this a bad trip if you’re as clean as can be? Did my dreams betray me Or is this the end? It’s just oblivion in the eyes of everyone I know We’ve all learned something the wrong way But we make due everyday If we continue to do things wrong We'll pay for it someday
10.
The Pining 04:26
Breathing out I stop my reaction I took your hand With your direction I might not feel good now maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow But I’ll try to see it your way tonight Catch my breath You stop me from running This situation Plans dissolve into nothing You might not feel good now I might not feel good now But we’ll feel better tomorrow But I’ll try to see it your way tonight

about

It's loosely based upon making decisions without thinking things through and the inevitability of chaos theory or some such nonsense.

Inspiration for this album comes from artists who make digital sounds, "alternative music" like Beach House, John Maus, Pet Shop Boys, and many other bands/artists that enjoy mixing organic and electronic sounds together, making a misty/moody combo of noisy dark joy.

When I started working on Reactive Planning I decided to work in a quicker manner, creating beats that sounded appealing as a base, using a mix of different drum machines’ sounds. After that I limited myself to a smaller palette of vertical-spectrum sounds, as to not gum up the works and keep it a snapshot of my current train of thought.

Lyrics are reflective on my brainwaves perceiving my own “problems” (I could have it a lot worse), ranging from thoughts on data, religion, habits and guilt. Arrangements are actively sparser than previous experiments in sound. Instrumentation is mostly digital / midi / usb-activated gadgets, to be as streamlined as possible for live performances.
